To adjust the look and style of your front page you need to use CSS. When in your book's export TAB there is a link that says Show advanced options, click on this link. The 4th setting down is CSS Mode:, currently set to Server default, click on the drop-down list and then select Custom. The Custom CSS Text box open and you can make adjustments to the CSS here. If you like the results of the CSS you write then copy the text to a text editor/word processor and save it as a text file for future use. If you need to learn CSS a great place to start is http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/learning, this provides links to many websites that contain tutorials on CSS.

yes thats a good pointer. You cannot however add an image as yet. Good idea though. Also its probably good to know that the PDF renderer supports CSS3 pretty well. As a good guide, anything that WebKit can do Booki can do. So you can do some very very nice things with the CSS.
